DON'T FRET...RE-FRET!
Click the image above for more details.
I decided to take on a new project that's a little more involved: re-fret and re-paint my Indio Boardwalk semi-hollow guitar. It was an inexpensive guitar so it won't break the bank if I mess it up!

Why was I doing this? I enjoy working on projects like this and, if it didn't work out, I could turn it into a cool wall clock! But really there were 2 reasons:

-
The fret ends were not all flush at the binding and occasionally a string would get stuck under the fret.
-
Although the guitar had a beautiful tobacco burst finish I really wanted a black guitar.
MAINTENANCE TIPS

I manage to setup my guitars pretty well on my own. After studying a lot of YouTube videos I can change my strings, adjust the truss rod/neck relief, replace tuners, install locking tuners, replace a stopbar and tailpiece, replace and file a nut, etc.

I'll be posting some tips to keep your guitar setup properly and in top condition.

Occasionally I'll include some links to what I think are valuable resources to help you on your personal journey to learn guitar.
